A New 52 on-going title starring John Constantine, launched after the cancellation of Constantine's long running Vertigo imprint title, Hellblazer, with issue #300.

The title was originally intended to be written by Robert Venditti who had to bow out of the project after focusing on taking over Green Lantern after Geoff Johns concluded his near decade long run. Already writing the character in Justice League Dark, both Ray Fawkes and Jeff Lemire (eventually just Fawkes) would step in as writers after Venditti left the title alongside Renato Guedes on initial art duties
